Before Manchester United’s FA Cup fourth-round match with Reading, Erik ten Hag delivered updates on the health of Jadon Sancho, Diogo Dalot, and Luke Shaw.
Due to their stellar performance in the Premier League and the fact that Reading is now positioned in the middle of the Championship standings, the Red Devils enter the match as strong favorites.
Ten Hag said in a press conference prior to the game that he had a “strong” group to choose from despite a few injury concerns.
“We always have challenges, but I think tomorrow, we have a solid selection for this game,” he added. “We have a fantastic squad, we have depth in the squad, so we can cover anything.”
“Diogo Dalot is obviously out, and Luke Shaw is, in my opinion, still up for debate. Shaw’s availability will be determined after this training session and today.

“I believe Malacia and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are performing superbly right now. They were extremely great on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the entire back four was outstanding. We are content with the back four, and the team is deep. When you have to cover 10 games in 30 days, that is what you need, and hopefully, it will continue after that.
Sancho has missed the last few months of action, so Ten Hag also gave an update on his health: “He is training with the team, and we will see.” He’s getting better and moving forward; we’ll decide after training.
“He’s making progress toward returning, so he’s back in team training, and now we have to wait to see when he is prepared to return to competition.”
