Pep Guardiola has described how he would like to win the Premier League title, which Man City and he are poised to win for the third consecutive season.
If Arsenal loses against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Guardiola’s team will win the title on Sunday if they defeat Chelsea at the Etihad. If the Gunners win, though, City will win the title on Saturday if they defeat Arsenal.
In his remarks at today’s press conference, Guardiola described how he would love it to go down, saying that he would like to see Arsenal win on Saturday so that his team can win the Premier League the following day.
The Man City manager remarked, “In my opinion, I’d like to feel that we have to win to be champions. The way we must consider is as follows. Nottingham is outside of our control, so we must do our part.
Guardiola will be hopeful that if Man City wins the Premier League this weekend, it will only be the first of three trophies this year as the Manchester team is on pace to complete an unprecedented treble.
They will be able to better prepare for the other two finals if they win the title early because it is starting to seem extremely likely that City will win it.
