According to rumours, Sheikh Jassim has changed his mind about trying to buy out Manchester United. The billionaire from Qatar had earlier in the week promised to give up if he didn’t obtain his desired outcome after submitting a fifth proposal. That’s no longer the case, though, thanks to another surprise.
If his fifth offer is rejected, Sheikh Jassim has promised to withdraw from the United takeover process earlier this week.
The Qatari billionaire’s bid, according to The Guardian, will’remain live’ even if the Glazers don’t approve, therefore this is allegedly no longer the case.
Sheikh Jassim and his advisors are said to have grown impatient with the procedure because it has dragged on since November.
In the past, he had maintained that he would give up after three bids.
However, despite rumours that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is in the lead, the enigmatic figure isn’t quite ready to give up just yet.
According to the report, there are worries among Qataris that they would lose out to Ratcliffe.
The 70-year-old already lost the opportunity to purchase Chelsea to American Todd Boehly, but he is hoping for success this time around.
If his bid is successful, Ratcliffe is prepared to let the Glazers remain at United in reduced roles, which has provoked a significant online response.
However, the suggestion that no agreement with INEOS is “imminent” provides Sheikh Jassim some cause for optimism.
The Glazers and Ratcliffe’s INEOS are still in communication, but the position is still precarious, thus another delay in the proceedings is now anticipated.
Erik ten Hag, the manager, will take a hit from that since he needs clarity to better his team this summer through transfers.
Mason Mount is a priority target for midfield at United, and negotiations for a transfer are still ongoing.
It’s not certain if the Glazers will approve such a significant trade, though, given that the Blues are asking for £70 million to release their academy graduate.
In light of the ambiguity surrounding Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham, United would also do whatever to sign the 29-year-old.
Despite Real Madrid’s interest in Kane following Karim Benzema’s abrupt exit, Spurs won’t allow their talisman to join a direct competitor.
Despite the growth of Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka this season, a new right-back may be on the way.
Although De Gea is anticipated to agree to a new deal with the team, the Red Devils are also open to signing a different custodian.
Ten Hag promised to strengthen his team after United’s FA Cup final defeat against Manchester City on Saturday.
The 53-year-old declared, “I have only one aim, and that is to develop this club, improve this team. “I’ll stand up for my beliefs. I’ll discuss what has to be done with the club.
But in order to improve for the following season, I must work with my staff and players.
