Kai Havertz has received some advice from Timo Werner on his future at Chelsea this summer.
Real Madrid, Arsenal, and other teams are interested in Havertz, who is a 23-year-old who is open to moving to the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid and other potential bidders are turned off by Chelsea’s £70 million valuation of the Germany international, thinking it might be significantly cheaper given that Havertz is prepared to leave Stamford Bridge.
Following Chelsea’s ultimatum to the attacker to either extend his current contract beyond June 2025 or go, Real Madrid places a value on Havertz of about £50 million.
German national Timo Werner, who spent two years at Chelsea before returning to RB Leipzig last summer, struggled to maintain a steady goal-scoring record throughout that time.
Werner is thriving once more in the Bundesliga, and this month, while representing Germany on an international level, he was questioned about Havertz’s future in west London.
No matter how things went at Chelsea, Kai always received his minutes, he informed the press. During my time there, it was a little chaotic. But within a few years, the team will return to the location where Chelsea belong.
“Obviously, if you want to play in the Champions League every year, a move to another club where you might play internationally is better.”
Havertz might be replaced this summer as Mauricio Pochettino, the new head coach, wants to cut the bloated team ahead of the preseason. Chelsea must also balance the finances after spending an extravagant £600 million on transfers over the last two transfer windows.
While Christopher Nkunku is expected to come from Leipzig following a pre-agreement reached at the conclusion of last year, fellow attackers Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Romelu Lukaku all face uncertain futures.
