According to recent rumors, Chelsea and Arsenal were largely interested in Moises Caicedo of Brighton this summer. However, it appears that Bundesliga club Bayern Munich is also interested, and Arsenal has reportedly withdrawn their interest.
Despite Brighton being aware of Bayern’s interest, Florian Plettenberg claims that Caicedo is still on Bayern’s wishlist for the summer transfer window as a potential defensive midfielder.
First-round negotiations have already taken place, and Bayern is keeping an eye on the situation and cognizant of English competition.
Following that, The Times stated that Chelsea and Manchester United had retained their interest but Arsenal had withdrew.
Caicedo will leave Brighton this summer, but Chris Wheatley of 3AddedMinutes recently revealed that he doesn’t have a firm choice as to which team he will sign with.
The midfielder desires to play in the Champions League, but none of the contending clubs have made an official bid to sign him as of yet.
According to Charlie Haffenden, Caicedo is at ease and focused on the upcoming international break because he is confident that Brighton will honour its commitment to allow him to leave.
After having their January offers rejected, The Telegraph recently claimed that Arsenal was still interested in Caicedo and that the club was considering making a deal for both Caicedo and Rice.
They stated that Caicedo is anticipated to cost around £70 million and that Chelsea are also attempting to close a deal.
Arsenal appears to be concentrating on other prospects currently, though.
In recent days, Fabrizio Romano said that Caicedo was still weighing his choices and hadn’t yet reached an agreement with a club.
However, he anticipates leaving Brighton this summer after deciding to accept a bid of £70–80 million with manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Caicedo played 43 times for Brighton this season, assisting them in reaching the FA Cup semifinals and their first-ever qualification for European competition.
The midfielder, an international for Ecuador, has already made 30 appearances for his nation since making his debut at the age of 18.
He is in their squad for the current international break, as previously reported.
