Manchester United are reportedly interested in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to journalist Dean Jones of GiveMeSport.
Onana is reportedly being pursued by United, but despite Jones’ claims, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League champions have no immediate plans to sign the £100,000-per-week (Spotrac) midfielder.
According to reports, United is attempting to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, who plays for England, and they are also interested in Adrien Rabiot, whose contract at Juventus expires this summer.
As Jones stated in his article regarding United and Onana, “Amadou Onana of Everton is a player they have reports on but at the moment he seems more an observation point.”
Should Manchester United make an offer for Amadou Onana, an Everton midfielder?
Manchester United does not currently need to make a bid for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, in our opinion.
There have been a number of proposals made for Mount by the Red Devils, and there is talk that Chelsea may ultimately decide to trade the Englishman to their Premier League opponents.
Thus, we think United should concentrate on that for the time being.
Onana is a very talented player who has performed admirably for Everton, but at only 21 years old, he is far from being the polished product.
United needs players who are more experienced and mature so they can continue their success from last season and go to the next level.
