Arsenal confirm departure of key man Steve Round and he’s surely heading straight for reunion with David Moyes at West Ham
Steve Round, a vital player for Arsenal, has officially left the club, and David Moyes’ West Ham is undoubtedly where he will re-connect with him.
One of Mikel Arteta’s key players might be moving to West Ham while Declan Rice is close to joining Arsenal.
Within the next 72 hours, Rice will undergo his Arsenal medical before making a £105 million record-breaking transfer.
While West Ham’s athletes resumed preseason practice today, Rice had already said his final farewells as he joined London rivals Arsenal.
Not everyone who will not be going back to West Ham for preseason is Rice.
Steve Round’s exit from Arsenal has been confirmed, and he will undoubtedly join David Moyes at West Ham after that.
Paul Nevin, a West Ham assistant coach under David Moyes, will follow Mark Warburton out the exit door this summer, it was confirmed on Thursday.
According to West Ham, Nevin left with everyone’s consent. The next stop for the highly regarded coach has now been revealed via a report.
It leaves Moyes’ staff with a huge gap to be filled.
And a Gunner who is leaving might fill it.
Round hole to fill?
Because Arsenal have confirmed the departure of key man Steve Round and he’s surely heading straight for a reunion with Moyes at West Ham.
Arsenal chief Edu has revealed Round will depart the Emirates by mutual consent.
And having worked with Moyes as his assistant at both Everton and Manchester United, one would think the duo look set for a reunion at West Ham.
A statement from Edu, as reported by CBS correspondent James Benge, has confirmed Round’s exit.
On the day Nevin leaves West Ham, Edu reveals the assistant’s departure for Arsenal.
Statement from Edu: "As preparations for the new men’s season get underway we can confirm Steve Round has left the club by mutual agreement.
"Steve joined the club as part of our new coaching staff in December 2019 when Mikel started his role as head coach. (1/2)— James Benge (@jamesbenge) July 6, 2023
As the new men’s season is getting ready to start, Edu announced that Steve Round has left the team amicably.
When Mikel assumed the position of head coach in December 2019, Steve joined the team as a member of our new coaching staff.
“Steve played a crucial part working with our men’s first team players and assisting the substantial improvement which we have made during his time with us. We appreciate Steve’s work for the Arsenal Football Club and send our best wishes to him and his family for a long and healthy life.
Of course, two plus two may equal five in this situation.
But with two open positions on the West Ham staff, Round’s availability, and his six-year history of collaboration with Moyes, the leaving Arsenal coach will undoubtedly contact the Hammers.
