According to the Daily Mail, Mohammed Kudus, an offensive midfielder for Ajax, is a target for Arsenal.
However, before making any additional recruits this summer, the Gunners are concentrating on reducing Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Jurrien Timber have already cost Arsenal more than £200 million to sign, and Kudus will run them almost £40 million.
The Ghanaian international is a target for Manchester United as well. Former Ajax player Marco van Basten thinks the Red Devils should have signed Kudus last summer rather than Antony.
Van Basten said in February that Mohammed Kudus was a much better football player than Antony.
“Antony has his talents, but he’s lost on what he’s attempting to do! Kudus is considerably more skilled and is aware of what he is doing. Kudus is more intelligent and technically adept than Antony, while being speedier.
“He is a lot more of a football player; the team can use him all over the pitch. He’s actually a lot more appealing to me than Antony. He’s more entertaining to watch play.
His adaptability is one of the traits that have drawn Arsenal and company. The 22-year-old finished the previous season with 18 goals and seven assists in 42 appearances, scoring twice at the most recent World Cup.
The Ajax star has a deal with the Eredivisie team through 2025, but he turned down a one-year extension in April and informed the team of his intention to leave this summer.
They might be compelled to sell him, which would alert Man United and others and put Arsenal in the middle of another transfer war.
