Chelsea’s £32 million summer acquisition Nicolas Jackson has praised Mauricio Pochettino, calling him a “wonderful” new manager.
Jackson, a Senegal international, signed an eight-year contract at Stamford Bridge last month and moved to Chelsea from Villarreal.
Jackson is clearly enjoying working under Pochettino, noting that the manager is making it apparent that he is the one in command, and he scored and contributed two assists in Chelsea’s 4-3 friendly victory over Brighton in the USA.
The 22-year-old continued by saying that he has no issues with the amount of jogging he has been required to do since arriving.
To quote Jackson, “You simply know he is the man, the one in charge,” according to Chelsea’s official website. I’ll say it again. Right now, I am incredibly joyful. Pochettino is incredible. Although some players would disagree, I have no issues with the running.
He is a tremendous coach, Jackson said, and I have known this for many years. He is a great coach. Since he is among the best in the world, I am thrilled to collaborate with him and am hopeful that we can accomplish great things.
Chelsea has further friendlies to come against Newcastle, Fulham, and Borussia Dortmund, and Jackson will be determined to continue making an impact as he stakes a claim for frequent involvement when the real action gets underway.
When Jackson scores his first goal at Stamford Bridge, he will be “speechless,” Jackson continued.
So, when I score my first goal at the Bridge, I anticipate being speechless, he stated. I’ll just suggest waiting for my big smile. Blues, I appreciate you accepting me with open arms. I can already sense the love.”
Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Edouard Mendy, Kai Havertz, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are just a few of the notable departures from Chelsea during this transfer window.
Along with Jackson, Chelsea has also added adolescents Diego Moreira and Angelo Gabriel, as well as Chris Nkunku.
