Xavi has given the go-ahead to bring in Joao Felix, according to Gerard Romero’s Jijantes, which has excellent connections at Barcelona.
The offensive midfielder from Portugal has already stated his desire to leave Atletico Madrid, and the team also doesn’t appear to be interested in keeping him. Felix has publicly expressed his desire to play for Barcelona, which hasn’t made him popular with the Atletico supporters.
A compromise is undoubtedly feasible given that both teams want the transfer to occur right away despite his enormous salary, which Barcelona would find difficult to pay. The former Benfica player’s salaries will reportedly be paid in full by Barcelona, and any further negotiations will reportedly center on a prospective purchase option.
Barcelona has made progress toward completing this deal because of the injury to Pedri, who may miss eight weeks of play. Although there are still many financial challenges to overcome, it now appears more likely than ever.
