According to commentator Paul Merson, Enzo Fernandez was the sole standout performer for Chelsea in today’s loss to Nottingham Forest.

He claimed that the 22-year-old was the only genuine plus for a Blues team that was incredibly poor at Stamford Bridge this afternoon during his broadcast for Sky Sports.
Chelsea lost 1-0 against Nottingham Forest in West London, and Fernandez once again found himself on the wrong end of the score.
The home field had lost all of its energy from a week earlier, but Anthony Elanga’s early second-half goal was enough for them to earn all three points.
Even the most upbeat Chelsea supporters would have struggled to identify many positives from the performance. Fans were obviously disappointed by what they had just witnessed.
Merson gives Fernandez appreciation
Merson, on the other hand, was impressed by what he observed from Fernandez, noting that he was the only Blue who appeared capable of making things better.
“Enzo Fernandez is the only one who appears to be doing anything,” he remarked. Chelsea doesn’t appear to be scoring anywhere else.
When club football resumes following the international break, Mauricio Pochettino will undoubtedly undergo changes.
Cole Palmer, a recent acquisition, may be given his first career start after impressing during his brief appearance off the bench.
It will be a trip to the South Coast to face Bournemouth when they do return to domestic action.
