On Saturday’s game against Arsenal, Axel Disasi was benched after suffering a minor injury while serving as a substitute for his country.
We’d anticipate him returning the following week if there was only the injury to worry about. The setting from Saturday, however, seems to have a slim probability of being a turning point.
Levi Colwill moved to the center of the defense in Disasi’s absence, and Marc Cucurella took on the role of left back. Cucurella performed admirably in his natural position on the left, which is where Colwill belongs.
The majority of Mauricio Pochettino’s experiences with Disasi have been positive, but the Argentinean manager must now choose whether to return to the former system or continue with this one moving ahead. While Cucurella has a toughness down the left that Pochettino obviously likes, Disasi brings a significant amount of aerial skill to the side. Both have pros and disadvantages.
