Antonio Valencia, a former star of Manchester United and Ecuador, has recently showered Chelsea player Moises Caicedo with admiration.
He informed Ole that the 21-year-old already ranks among the top five players in the world of football for his position.
After having a bit of a rough start to life at Stamford Bridge, Caicedo’s performances have improved recently.
Alongside fellow pricey signing Enzo Fernandez, he has rapidly established a fantastic partnership.
The Ecuadorian international turned his club form into an international performance last night, appearing in a 0-0 tie as one of the show’s stars.
Many fans and members of the international media took issue with his defending of the team in his post-match remarks.
Valencia compliments Caicedo.
Valencia has, however, showered his compatriot with compliments.
“Caicedo is among the top five midfielders in the world,” he declared. Although he did not have a great preseason with Chelsea, his play is becoming increasingly impressive. Every Ecuadorian is pleased with him as he has been becoming better for the national squad.
“We’re hoping he keeps getting better. He is a wonderful boy who works hard and is modest. I’ve watched the majority of his games, and he’s becoming better. My aim is that he will be the Premier League’s best player at the end of the season.
Hopefully, Caicedo will be well enough to return to the Chelsea team when club football begins the following weekend, when they go to Newcastle.
Fernandez is one player who might not be because he played in a pivotal match against Brazil just three days prior.
He has appeared worn out in recent weeks and had trouble last night in Argentina’s World Cup qualifying loss to Uruguay.
