Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou Fight.
There are only six weeks till Anthony Joshua fights Francis Ngannou, and some in the combat community are speculating about what could happen.
UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall is one person who is qualified to offer commentary. He has competed in mixed martial arts for a long time and has sparred with Tyson Fury numerous times, so he has a unique perspective.
When questioned about his thoughts on the fight that will take place in Saudi Arabia on March 8, Aspinall spoke with Matchroom Boxing.
“I’m quite eager for it. It seems like a fantastic fight. I would have questioned you about this strange show gimmick stuff six months or a year ago.
He continued by expressing shock at the events leading up to Ngannou’s professional debut versus Fury.
Following his most recent bout, Francis stunned everyone. As Fury’s buddy and former training partner, I was astounded to find Ngannou living with him in that space. That fight, in my opinion, could have gone any way.
In light of this, he felt it difficult to declare a winner in the Joshua bout, which some have dubbed “pointless.”
“I think it’s a 50-50 fight, and I can’t wait for it. I watched AJ’s last fight, and he’s really improved. His confidence has also increased, and I know he’s working with a new trainer, so that’s a factor as well.”
Whoever prevails will almost certainly face the victor of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk on February 17 in an incredible, uncontested bout.
