Can Tim Tszyu Become The First Man To KO Keith Thurman?
Although the main event on the March 30th pay-per-view is a non-title catchweight bout between unbeaten rising star Tim Tszyu and the consistently idle Keith Thurman, some fans are somewhat let down by the PBC debut show that will stream on Amazon Prime. Nevertheless, there is some excitement surrounding the Tszyu-Thurman matchup. As he fights in the US in his “Aussie takeover,” Tszyu claims he will be the first man to stop “One Time.” He says he hopes to “knock ’em all out, let them all squeal and feel it all.”
Thurman, who has only lost to the living legend Manny Pacquiao, has previously gone up against punchers like Shawn Porter, Pac-Man, and one or two more men. But since March 2017, Thurman has only engaged in three fights. It makes sense that supporters are curious about Thurman’s big fight opportunity. Though Thurman, 30-1-1 no contest (22 KO), is a seasoned fighter with a tonne of experience, he is building up a good battle going into this one.
Can the 29-year-old Tszyu, who is presently 24-0(17), become the first person to defeat the former welterweight champion then? Yes, Tszyu responds.
When asked if he believes he will knock out Thurman in Australia prior to his flight to the US, Tszyu responded, “In my mind, yes.” “I think that in the next eight weeks, based on my attitude to this camp and how I have been approaching it, I will reach my peak. He will also sense it. Additionally, he will believe that he has never sparred with someone quite like me.
If Tszyu were to knock out Thurman, it would be a significant statement, particularly if the legendary fighter’s son—who, back in the day, had a lasting influence on American fighters—managed to finish Thurman off in a spectacular manner. Perhaps that will occur, or perhaps, just possibly, a completely recovered Thurman, his combative spirit restored, will impart some skills to the young fighter.
Thurman’s attempt to thwart Tsyzu’s ambitious goals would be disappointing, but this outcome cannot be discounted. Having saying that, the main concern going into this battle is if Tszyu will be able to free Thurman.
