Mason Greenwood of Manchester United is allegedly interested in joining Atletico Madrid permanently during the summer transfer window.

Greenwood has made 22 appearances in all competitions this season, tallying four assists and seven goals for the Spanish team.
According to current plans, the Englishman will rejoin Man United this summer; his deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the 2024–25 season.
Though it’s still thought that the team intends to sell him in the next market, there have been hints that there might be a way for him to rejoin the Red Devils.
Given that Barcelona is preparing a move and is considered the favorite, it has been said that Greenwood ‘dreams’ of playing for the reigning La Liga champions.
The club is unlikely to have the funds to complete a deal, despite Getafe’s stated intention to sign him permanently. Real Sociedad and Valencia are also rumored to be keeping an eye on the situatording to The Telegraph, Greenwood has reporttodaybeen added to Atletico’s summer roster, with Diego Simeone’s team planning to recruit at least one one one’sng to the story, Greenwood’s family is thought to have relocated to Spain, so should he indicate a wish to stay there, Atletico might take priority over Barcelona if his financial difficulties prevent them from signing him.
Greenwood was detained in January 2022 on suspicion of rape and violence after a lady made charges. He was subsequently detained again on suspicion of sexual assault and making threats to kill.
In February of last year, the case against Greenwood was withdrawn. He was also charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm.
Man United is said to have first chosen to add Greenwood back into the lineup for the 2023–24 season, but they were compelled to change their minds after receiving negative feedback from the public.
In 129 games across all competitions for his parent club, the forward has contributed 12 assists and 35 goals; he made his final appearance for them in January 2022 against West Ham United.
