The wife of Thiago Silva has apologized for her outraged social media response to Mauricio Pochettino following the Chelsea manager’s conversation with the Brazilian player
Belle, the spouse of Thiago Silva, has apologized profusely on social media for the tweet she made after Chelsea’s consecutive losses last week.
Belle took to Twitter to criticize her partner’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, following Chelsea’s 4-2 loss to Wolves on Sunday. This came just a few days after Chelsea conceded four goals in a loss to Liverpool at Anfield.
She expressed her displeasure with the Blues’ performance, and supporters took her remarks to mean that, just seven months into Pochettino’s tenure at Stamford Bridge, she was asking for his dismissal. “We need to make a change,” she wrote. It will be too late if you wait any longer.
During his press conference, Pochettino disclosed that Silva had contacted him on Tuesday to discuss things, but he would not elaborate on their conversation. “He came today to talk with me,” the man stated. I’m not going to discuss our conversational style here. The key thing is that he approached me and wanted to communicate, and you already know who I am after over a decade of knowing me.
“Our coaching staff is exceptionally strong, as is the way we conduct ourselves. He came to talk, we had a private conversation, and that was that. We keep private things within for me.”
After things appeared to have been resolved with his manager, Silva’s wife Belle apologized on Twitter on Wednesday. “I’m sorry that my outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact,” she said with a groveling expression. I have a strong sense of devotion to the team, and I get a kick out of winning and losing. Come on Chelsea, we’re all looking for the same thing—a winning squad!
Belle has vowed to leave her nearly 20-year marriage in the middle of things before. She called former Chelsea manager Graham Potter a “deadbeat coach” last year and chastised Timo Werner for wasting a plethora of opportunities when Real Madrid eliminated the Blues from the Champions League in 2021.
