Serb Dusan Lajovic advanced to the second round of the Argentina Open by defeating Frenchman Arthur Fils, the eighth seed, 6-3, 6-4 at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club.
Alejandro Tabilo of Chile will face No. 58 seed Lajovic next.
