Thomas Frank, the manager of Brentford, says he is glad to be associated with the Liverpool position, but he is also quite happy where he is at the Bees.
Thomas Frank, the 50-year-old has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp, who is leaving at the end of the current campaign. However, he is not exactly the front-runner to take over as manager.
Since taking over in 2018, the Dane has done a fantastic job of leading Brentford up from the Championship and making them a Premier League force on a shoestring.
When asked about any connections to a move to Anfield, he was happy to react, having previously been courted for bigger roles.
While acknowledging that the conversation is flattering and that he has no issue with it, he also said he is not in a haste to leave Brentford.
There are numerous rumours floating around. We all have a little ego, I believe, and it enjoys a little sweets, but ultimately, I’m at Brentford. Here, I’m really thrilled,” Frank said to Sky Sports.
Do I have goals in mind? Indeed. Will I be residing at Brentford indefinitely? Perhaps, but most likely not. Therefore, who can predict what will occur in the future? All I know is that I’m content with my situation here at Brentford.
The likelihood of Ivan Toney leaving Brentford this summer will not make Frank’s job any easier; the manager has acknowledged that his star scorer may not have much time left with the Bees.
According to Tipsbladet, Frank stated, “It is pretty obvious that Ivan Toney will probably be sold this summer.”
Selling your best player can be “expensive,” but keep in mind that he will only be leaving us with one year left on his contract this summer.
We are also aware of his value. There aren’t many strikers in the world today that are better than him, in my opinion.
In four Premier League games since his return from his betting ban last month, Toney has scored three goals.
