In their Premier League Match Day 25 match at the Turf Moor Stadium on Saturday, Arsenal defeated Burnley with strong results. Their brilliant play to achieve a commanding 5-0 victory over Burnley was a continuation of their good form from the 6-0 triumph against West Ham.
Arsenal’s championship challenge is still alive thanks to goals from Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka (2). Arsenal has had a spotless record since the winter break.
With 21 goals in their last five games, the Gunners’ offensive has significantly improved in recent weeks. We appreciate that Arteta and his technical bench addressed the goal-scoring problems that the Gunners were having before the winter break. In addition to the coaching team, Leandro Trossard merits praise for his outstanding work as Arsenal’s false nine during Gabriel Jesus’ absence.
Since Gabriel Jesus’ injury a few weeks ago, Trossard has been playing effectively for Arsenal. The Belgian international showed off his attacking prowess as the striker against Burnley, in case we had forgotten. Saka scored Arsenal’s second goal of the match after the 29-year-old won a penalty against the Clarets. In addition, he scored a beautiful goal that helped the side win handily. And his passing play in tandem with Kai Havertz is still very good. The former Brighton player makes a big contribution to the team’s success both on and off the ball.
I don’t know about you, but I think Gabriel Jesus may have a difficult time returning to the starting lineup given Leandro Trossard’s outstanding performance for Arsenal. Eddie Nketiah, regarded as the team’s most natural striker, is having trouble proving why he ought to start ahead of him.
The January 2023 acquisition appears to be giving Arsenal the attacking spark that Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus were unable to provide at the start of the year. This may offend some, but the Belgian international is arguably a better goal scorer than Gabriel Jesus, whose ability to create plays occasionally takes precedence over his ability to score goals.
Leandro has scored four goals for Arsenal in his last five games, which is quite remarkable. After his return from injury, Gabriel Jesus can find himself warming the bench for Arsenal due to Trossard’s outstanding play. I’m confident that Arteta would be gravely misguided to bench the adaptable Belgian. If anything is working, why change it?
