Kai Havertz is performing quite well right now, it must be mentioned. After a difficult period at Chelsea, Arsenal took a significant gamble when they signed the German.
When he arrived, it was unclear what his ideal role was. And much of this season has been devoted to that discussion. Havertz has shown promise upfront even though he isn’t the precise goal scorer the Gunners are hoping for. As a number eight, he has also had some successful moments.
Kai Havertz impressed the coaches at Arsenal.
Whether Havertz has now turned the corner at the Emirates is still too soon to tell. However, there’s no denying that the debate over whether or not Arsenal signed the 24-year-old was a wise move has mostly subsided.
Havertz seems to have performed at his best while Leandro Trossard was upfront. The two have such amazing movement sense. Neither of them is particularly suited to play as a natural number nine, and they both prefer to occupy positions where opponents do not want to go to.
Havertz appears to have gained a lot of support from Arsenal’s backroom supporters. The way he covers ground has particularly impressed the club personnel, according to a report from The Telegraph.
There is still plenty to prove.
Even though Havertz has no control over the amount Arsenal paid for him, he still may have a lot to prove before he earns the money they paid for him.
His five goals in twenty-four league games is a tad disappointing. His previous strike came two months before his goal against Burnley this past weekend.
Havertz’s game, however, obviously consists of much more than just how many times he puts the ball in the back of the net.
