The prediction for Nottingham Forest’s FA Cup matchup with Manchester United has been made by Chris Sutton.
In the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m., Nuno’s Forest takes on the Red Devils at the City Ground. With goals from Nicolas Dominguez and Morgan Gibbs-White, they defeated Erik ten Hag’s team 2-1 in December in the Premier League on home soil.
However, Sutton thinks United will get payback in their most recent meeting. He told the BBC, “Manchester United is my new Chelsea when it comes to predictions—I get all their results wrong.” To be honest, I have no idea what to anticipate from Erik ten Hag’s end. They were not in control of games, even when they were winning.
“I also predicted United to win this past weekend, but the most disappointing aspect of their home loss was that Fulham deserved all three points.” Despite their poor league performance since then, Nottingham Forest still has a goal or two in them after defeating United at the City Ground at the end of December.
On the other hand, United did not provide much against Fulham while Rasmus Hojlund was sidelined due to injury. Marcus Rashford hardly got a kick when I included him in my fantasy squad.
“Hojlund is such a huge miss, and although United is strong on the counter, they need someone to convert their opportunities. This seems to be a close match that could go all the way, but I believe United will find a way to win.
“I’m not sure why, but there seems to be more evidence pointing in the opposite direction. I suppose this is the main reason I get so many United scores incorrect.”
Sutton’s prediction: following extra time and penalties, United will win 1-1.
