Diogo Dalot says striker Man United signed for £24m was even better than Erling Haaland
True legends of the Premier League are Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez, and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
When asked to compare some of the best attackers in Premier League history, Diogo Dalot gave special recognition to one Manchester United star in an interview with Goal on TikTok.
Dalot went so far as to claim that Robin van Persie was superior to Erling Haaland, claiming that the player was better than some of the greatest players in Premier League history.

One person asked Dalot, “Aguero or Van Persie?”
“Van Persie,” declared Dalot.
When asked to compare Van Persie to Harry Kane, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Fernando Torres, Dalot responded in the same way. Next, the defender was asked to compare the Dutchman to the Premier League’s top scorer at the moment.
“Haaland or Van Persie,” Dalot was questioned.
“Van Persie,” declared Dalot.

It’s quite difficult to make this case.
Without a doubt, the two greatest strikers in league history are Van Persie and Haaland.
On the one hand, Haaland is a treble-winner and has a far superior goal-scoring record than Van Persie.
Haaland, on the other hand, is extremely wasteful and heavily dependent on his physical prowess, whereas Van Persie was a pure finisher and much more of a technical player. He also has longevity on his side.
Van Persie currently has a little advantage over Haaland in terms of Premier League legacy, but as he looks to smash every single league scoring record ever set, it probably won’t take the Norwegian long to win this debate.
