Since Man City won the Premier League for the fourth consecutive year this summer, not many players would want to leave the team.
At the Etihad Stadium, players have nearly always taken home trophies, and they have had great success throughout manager Pep Guardiola’s tenure.
As evidenced by the departures of players like Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Ferran Torres, and Oleksandr Zinchenko, City never stops its players from wanting to leave the team.
In light of rumors that the Saudi Pro League is interested in goalkeeper Ederson, the Sky Blues will not obstruct his desire to leave the team, according to an ESPN article.
The team won’t stop the player from moving if he indicates that he wants to leave Etihad Stadium.
The statement read, “Offers will only be taken into consideration if the Brazil international makes it clear he wants to leave the Etihad Stadium. Although Ederson has been linked to a move to the Saudi Pro League (SPL), City is not actively looking to part with him.”
Even though Stefan Ortega has done a commendable job filling in for Ederson this season, it seems highly unlikely that Guardiola would be happy to lose Ederson, who is still among the best in the world at what he does.
The Brazilian’s future is shaping up to be one of the most fascinating stories to follow this summer, given his importance to Guardiola’s squad.
Man City cannot bear Ederson’s loss.
It would not be easy to replace one of the best goalkeepers in the world of football, Ederson, a Brazilian international.
He also had a fantastic 2023–24 season and was a major contributor to City’s Premier League victory.
That would all change, though, if Ederson requested a shift.
The goalie has helped Man City win one Champions League championship and six Premier League titles.
