Joshua Kimmich has opened up on his future in Germany amid links to Manchester City and Barcelona.
Since making his Bavarian first-team debut under Pep Guardiola, Joshua Kimmich has been a staple for Bayern Munich.
Although the German has made a name for himself as one of Europe’s top midfielders, it is believed that his future at Munich is uncertain.
In an attempt to get Guardiola and the German back together, HITC revealed earlier this month that Manchester City was considering a deal for the German midfielder.
Kimmich is reportedly a top target for Hansi Flick’s Barcelona this summer.

The 28-year-old Kimmich made an appearance for Die Mannschaft during a commanding 5-1 victory over Scotland for Julian Nagelsmann’s team.
The circumstances are quite obvious, Kimmich stated to the German publication SZ. “My contract with FC Bayern expires in 2025, so being active at this time is not primarily my responsibility.”
“I’m just going to concentrate on the European Championship; we’ll talk afterward.”
Under Thomas Tuchel, Kimmich is said to have become uneasy in Bavaria; nevertheless, Vincent Kompany, a former Burnley manager, has taken over for the German.
Although it’s unknown if this has changed Kimmich’s mind, Barcelona and City are still interested in the German midfield player.
City wants to get Kimmich and Guardiola back together.
With just a year remaining on his German deal, Kimmich is drawing attention from City, who are rumored to be interested in bringing in a midfield player this summer.
A reunion this summer looks possible because Kimmich believes the Spaniard was one of the biggest influences on his career and Guardiola is still a huge fan of the player.
In the previous Bundesliga season, Kimmich managed just one goal and six assists as Bayer Leverkusen easily won the championship.
