The 2023–24 Manchester United season hasn’t gotten off to the best start. To recover and come back stronger, the team has left for the international break after suffering three straight losses, which included a humiliating 3-0 setback at home to Liverpool. Because of the team’s early-season troubles, supporters are unsure if a new roster will help them turn things around or if more changes are imminent.
Manchester United fans remain somewhat optimistic despite the team’s dismal start. During the summer transfer window, the team signed several well-known players, including Joshua Zirkzee, a forward, Leny Yoro, a young defender, and Matthijs de Ligt, a centre-back from the Netherlands. Manuel Ugarte plays midfield for PSG. Despite their immense potential, these players require some time to acclimatise to the Premier League’s intensity and the squad.
It seems that Manchester United’s problems extend beyond its roster, as even seasoned players like Casemiro are being scrutinised following lacklustre showings against Brighton and Liverpool. Supporters will be hopeful that these new players can give the squad the boost it needs to turn things around.
Transfer Rumours Regarding Casemiro
One of United’s most expensive acquisitions in recent years, Casemiro, is now under suspicion following the team’s difficult beginning. The Brazilian midfielder may even be headed to Turkey, according to reports, with Galatasaray supposedly expressing interest. The Turkish club reportedly has a transfer window open until September 13 and is considering a deal to bring him in, according to The Mirror.
Turkiye Gazetesi, however, reports that although Galatasaray had consented to loan Casemiro, the player turned down the offer because he is keen to compete for a starting position at Old Trafford. His future is still up in the air while the team searches for answers.
Adrien Rabiot’s Future Opportunities Are Uncertain
Another player that has been linked to Manchester United is Adrien Rabiot, a midfielder from France. Rabiot has had difficulty finding a new club after leaving Juventus as a free agent, which is surprising considering his calibre and reputation. Newcastle and Galatasaray are two of the teams “in the mix” to recruit him, according to TEAMtalk via The Mirror. Rabiot might be registered before the Premier League returns on September 13 because free transfers are possible at any moment.
But Rabiot’s condition is “embarrassing,” according to France coach Didier Deschamps. Rabiot has to find a new club before being invited back to the national team.
