Paul Gascoigne, a legendary figure in football, has boldly advised Marcus Rashford to consider moving elsewhere to revitalise his career.
After scoring 30 goals in the 2022–2023 season, the 26-year-old attacker has faced a dip at Old Trafford. Rashford’s form declined in the next season, scoring just eight goals.
Rashford’s performances have been patchy, even though he showed off his skills in the most recent 3-3 Europa League match against FC Porto. He was criticised for his performances against Tottenham and Twente, and he was given a break for the Crystal Palace game.
The French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain may give Rashford a new beginning after reviving their interest following early talks earlier this year. Gascoigne is certain that the England international would benefit from a transfer overseas.
In an interview with SportsCasting, Gascoigne stated, “Yeah, definitely, I think so,” about Rashford’s possible exit from United. According to the Manchester Evening News, “I think Rashford is an incredible player, but he just doesn’t seem to care.”
“Something is going on since he doesn’t look happy even when he scores. Just go on if that’s the case. After a few players go, they find something else to do,” he continued.
In any case, Rashford doesn’t appear to enjoy playing in England. Additionally, he will be targeted by certain elite clubs. He will be shaken up if you travel to Italy.
After that, Gascoigne started thinking about his time in Serie A and suggested Rashford may benefit from it. “I was shaken up by it. “It was amusing when I signed with Lazio,” he added.
“We’ll go and watch them for a week first,” I told my dad. ‘Wow, that’s some training session,’ I thought as I watched the warm-up.’ “That’s the warm-up,” the coach said. And I began to cry a little. “There’s no way I can do that,” I said. “F*****g no way.” Just a warm-up, perhaps 20 laps. After that, spend 30 minutes performing various stretches.
“Well, you better f*****g get used to it because I’ve already found a villa and I’m moving in there,” my dad said. Going overseas will shake him [Rashford] up a little.”
