Lewis Hamilton has acknowledged that he has observed Ferrari, his future team, in excellent form.
The F1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix is the first of Hamilton’s final four races with Mercedes.
In 2025, he will join Ferrari’s team with Charles Leclerc and team principal Fred Vasseur.
Carlos Sainz of Ferrari won the Grand Prix in Mexico last weekend, while Hamilton finished fourth. There on the podium was Leclerc.
Sainz finished on the podium in Texas, where Leclerc had won a week earlier.
“I’m very interested in my future, of course,” he said, acknowledging that he was keeping an eye on Ferrari.
So, yes, keeping an eye on that regard. keeping an eye on everything that occurs.
Mercedes won three straight Grand Prix halfway through the season, while Ferrari has won five.
Expectations about what Hamilton might accomplish in 2025 have increased due to Ferrari’s stellar recent performance, which includes winning both of the most recent Grands Prix and placing both drivers on the podium.
“We all watched the video…”
Hamilton said that the competitiveness he observes in his potential employers gives him hope.
“Obviously,” he replied. The Red Bull was around a second ahead, even though it’s been the beginning of the year and you’re looking at places like China already.
The rise of McLaren and the subsequent surge of Ferrari in the previous few races has been amazing to see.
“All I’m attempting to do is monitor what people are adding and modifying to their cars.
We all watch the drivers’ videos and the onboard laps, and we’re constantly looking for methods to improve our time.
Additionally, some vehicles just respond differently, performing better or worse in particular situations.
“And you’re attempting to determine how you can achieve that within your balance or persuade the team to build the car in that manner.”
In the constructors’ championship, Ferrari has jumped ahead of Red Bull and is now in second place, behind McLaren.
Hamilton might join the F1 constructors’ champions if the Italian manufacturer continues its recent success.
Hamilton, however, lamented Mercedes’ exclusion from the constructors’ scrap.
He remarked, “Of course, being in the battle for the title is what we would have all loved.”
That is the goal that everyone strives for. When we first started the year, we knew it would be difficult, and we didn’t anticipate seeing some of the same level of success that we did.
“Silverstone, everyone put in a lot of effort to achieve that outcome, and for that, I am immensely thankful to the team.
However, I know this team very well, and I’m confident that our current performance and position will only motivate them to put in even more effort in order to have a better vehicle the next season.
And yeah, unless I’m in the middle of the fight or trailing, like in the last race, I’m not keeping an eye on much up ahead.
“I just caught a glimpse of them before they vanished. However, I am simply concentrating on doing my best work.
