According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Liverpool is apparently ready to shell out a lot of money to recruit Eintracht Frankfurt player Omar Marmoush.
With a fantastic start to the season, the 25-year-old has exploded onto the scene. He has 13 goals and nine assists in 15 games across all competitions.
With 17 points from nine games, the Eagles are now third in the Bundesliga and fourth in the Europa League standings. In the league, they are even ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, the current German champions, and Borussia Dortmund.
According to Fichajes, Liverpool has expressed interest in signing the Egyptian after being pleased by his recent performances. If the Reds were to get him, they believe he would give their team a fresh perspective and fit in well with the Premier League.
Frankfurt may be willing to let him leave the club in January if they can find a suitable replacement, and the Merseyside club is willing to pay a cost of almost £58 million to employ him.
Marmoush to Liverpool.
Both the left wing and centre forward positions are ones in which Marmoush feels at ease. He works hard when he doesn’t have the ball, is speedy, can dribble past opponents’ defenders in confined spaces, and is very good at finishing off his chances.
Due to the presence of Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa, Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah, Liverpool already boasts a top-tier attacking squad.
Nunez, who joined the team from SL Benfica on a club record amount a few years ago, has struggled to show his best, even though Salah’s current contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
In addition, Jota has always struggled with injuries, while Chiesa hasn’t been able to play consistently for the Reds this season since his summer transfer.
It would be prudent to sign a new attacker as a result, and if they do, Marmoush may be a great addition. It would be intriguing to observe, though, if the Anfield team ultimately takes a firm stance in January or after the current season to sign the Egypt international.
