Salah was strongly rumored to be moving to the Saudi Arabian team Al Ittihad during the summer transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp openly said that Salah was not for sale, but Liverpool remained steadfast.
Al Ittihad eventually gave up after having a bid turned down by the Anfield club.
Due to reports that Salah is a personal favorite of Saudi Professional League director of football Michael Emenalo, Al Ittihad are likely to re-enter the Salah transfer market in January, which is less than three months away.
The Metro quotes Emenalo as saying: “Mo is welcome at any time, but no one is compelled or under any obligation to attend.
“We would be delighted to have anyone come here if there is an opportunity to work with the transferring club in a very respectful and professional manner.”
He continued, “But Mo is a personal favorite of mine.”
From a financial perspective, moving to Saudi Arabia seems like it would be quite beneficial. Salah, however, will already have had a warning about a prospective move from players like Jota and Karim Benzema.
Benzema was said to be uneasy at Al Ittihad last month due to what appeared to be conflict between the striker and manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Also having a difficult start is Portuguese forward Jota, who joined Al Ittihad in the summer.
Waleed Al Farraj, a Saudi journalist, claims that Al Ittihad management is already eager to fire Jota because he “does not serve the team.”
The ‘Egyptian King’ is a beloved character in Merseyside, but rumors about both Benzema and Jota’s experiences in the Middle East may have an impact on Salah’s choice.
