The promoter of Joseph Parker wants his fighter to face Anthony Joshua again.
In their first fight, which was for a world championship unification in 2018, Joshua used his boxing prowess to win by unanimous decision.
Parker then had to box his way back into contention after losing to Dillian Whyte.
The man from New Zealand had to start over after losing to another British boxer, Joe Joyce, in 2022.
But before he was given the chance to face Deontay Wilder as a significant underdog last year, he managed three strong victories.
He stunned everyone, though, by performing a disciplined fight and following his strategy, winning by unanimous decision by a huge margin over “The Bronze Bomber.”
According to David Higgins, Parker’s promoter, Parker has thus “earned” a rematch with Joshua.
According to Higgins, Parker against Anthony Joshua would be seen favorably by the Saudis, and Joseph has earned that fight with Joshua, as he stated to Sky Sports.
“I think that’s the fight fans want to see, but it might not be next and there might be some work to be done.” It’s a fight decided by merit.
“When it comes to opponents, Joseph is willing to take on anyone. Just take a look at the list of fighters on his resume—Jose Joyce, Wilder, Derek Chisora twice, Joshua, and Dillian Whyte—and he’s still only 31 years old.
“We’re ready to take on Anthony Joshua right now.
Though it’s widely known that Joseph will fight him next, I’m not sure it’s a viable choice. Of course, we’ll consider all options and see what materialises.
Following Parker’s victory over Wilder, Joshua defeated Otto Wallin. His promoter Eddie Hearn has identified Francis Ngannou, Zhilei Zhang, and Filip Hrgovic as possible opponents.
