Though he wasn’t always this way, the Egyptian is now without a doubt one of the world’s most talented players.
If you go back a few years, Mo Salah was viewed as a failure when he played for Chelsea.
The winger quit the club shortly after joining in west London because he didn’t really contribute much while at Stamford Bridge.
When talking about Salah’s growth since leaving Chelsea, Cesc Fabregas says he’s amazed at how brilliant the winger has become after playing alongside him at the London club on the Planet Premier League Podcast.
Salah astounds Fabregas.
“I’ve always respected that about Mo; he’s a really rare player, and I spent six months playing with him at Chelsea. He’s a terrific man with a positive outlook on life. Fabregas stated, “He found his way and he’s showing everyone how good he is.”
“Could you have predicted the player he would become when you were with him at Chelsea?” Fabregas was questioned.
Not at all. I talk about this with people occasionally, and I would have told you it was impossible if you had told me he would have accomplished what he did while he was still with us. In one on one, he wasn’t as strong as he is today and wasn’t as prolific in front of goal, but you could tell he was swift and attacking spaces. I’m being unfair here.
Who anticipated it?
Not only is Salah’s progress astounding Fabregas, but he’s not the only one.
Salah was a thin, misfiring winger at Chelsea who had the appearance of a bit of a pace merchant. No one could have predicted that he would go on to become one of the greatest players the league had ever seen.
Salah has become incredibly popular, and ever since joining Liverpool, he has been entertaining to watch.
Salah is a shining example of what is possible in this game if you put in enough effort.
