According to Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah is a more skilled player than Harry Kane.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was participating in a JD Football TikTok challenge when he was required to choose between two options in a football bracket and determine which player was superior.
Though he picked players like Cristiano Ronaldo over Kylian Mbappe and Samuel Eto’o over Lautaro Martinez, Alexander-Arnold may have had the hardest time deciding between his two colleagues.
Because of his work with Liverpool and England, Alexander-Arnold is familiar with both Salah and Kane, but he now has to choose between the two.
Though he hesitated a little, the right-back finally decided on Salah.
To tell the truth, we can see why.
Don’t get us wrong, we think Kane is an amazing player, but Salah’s resume is far stronger.
Salah is not only the winner of more major trophies, but he has also—perhaps surprisingly—won more Premier League Golden Boots.
Naturally, these two players couldn’t be more different from one another. They both score goals and provide assists, but they do it in very different ways.
Although Kane has never been endowed with lightning speed, making him a slightly more technical player, Salah’s primary attributes are unquestionably his strength and speed.
Both players may argue that they are the best attackers in the world right now, but we can understand Alexander-Arnold’s decision to go with his Liverpool teammate over his England captain after so many successful years of playing alongside Salah.
Who knows? Alexander-Arnold’s opinion may alter if Kane leads England to European championship success this summer, but for the time being, it’s clear why he believes Salah is the superior player.
