Pedro Neto, a reported Tottenham and Arsenal transfer target, previously disclosed that he grew up supporting the Gunners.
Neto has been linked with a move to north London for some time, with Tottenham and Arsenal reportedly interested in the current transfer season. Wolves, on the other hand, are desperate to keep him and may no longer need to cash in after Max Kilman was sold to West Ham for £40 million.
Neto has impressed since his move to Molineux from Lazio in the summer of 2019. However, his previous three seasons have been cut short by injuries, including a catastrophic knee injury near the end of the 2020/21 season.
Clubs are still interested in the current and previous transfer windows despite this. The 24-year-old is being linked to both Arsenal and Tottenham, therefore a transfer fight between the two teams may be necessary.
And it appears that Arsenal might have the advantage over their opponents in North London. “My favorite team growing up watching English football was Arsenal,” Neto admitted to talkSPORT in 2021.
“Because I believed that under Arsene Wenger, they played excellent football in addition to winning trophies.” I’m thrilled to be with Wolverhampton! It’s the best club in England right now, of course.”
Neto has made 135 appearances with Wolves, contributing 24 assists and 14 goals despite his current injury issues. He made 24 appearances in all competitions last season, tallying three goals and eleven assists.
