Liverpool won’t make any more acquisitions until the January transfer market ends, according to Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds’ erratic play continued on Sunday, as they lost 2-1 to Brighton & Hove Albion and were eliminated from the FA Cup.
Because of this, Liverpool can only win the Champions League this year. However, they were paired up in the round of 16 with the current champion Real Madrid. In the championship game of the previous season, Los Blancos defeated the Reds.
Klopp’s team is currently ninth in the Premier League, therefore it will be difficult for them to make it into the Champions League next season.
Although Cody Gakpo was just acquired by Liverpool, the need for a midfielder is still felt by the supporter base. But Klopp, in a statement to beIN Sport following the defeat against Brighton, believes that won’t take place.
No, no, no, he replied. This transfer window won’t see any activity. I’m done. Everything is fine.

The Reds were defeated once more at Brighton, returning to the location of the 3-0 thrashing a fortnight prior that Klopp referred to as the worst of his managerial career. Mitoma’s incredible stoppage-time goal on the South Coast was the difference.
After Lewis Dunk’s fortunate goal equalized Harvey Elliott’s first-half goal, the game appeared headed for a replay. But in the dying seconds, Japan’s Mitoma, a great forward, scored at the far post, confusing Joe Gomez as he handled Pervis Estupinan’s cross and rifled in the winning goal.
As was to be expected, Moises Caicedo, a wanted man after Arsenal’s rejection of a £60 million bid, did not play for Brighton. The Ecuadorian midfielder had also drawn interest from Liverpool.
