Pep Guardiola has prompted speculation that he would leave Manchester City at the end of the current campaign if he wins an unprecedented treble.
Man City is on track to win the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League season, and if they do, they would make history by being the first English club to do it since Manchester United in 1999.
Guardiola told reporters to “ask him after” they had won the treble, despite the fact that if it had been accomplished, they would have won pretty much everything up for grabs.
He remarked, “First, we have to win it,” in a statement to Sky Sports. When you ask me later, I’ll be happy to share my thoughts and feelings with you.
“With three games remaining, we must win every match to achieve our goal. But you’re going to tell me that playing against Man United, our city rivals, will be simple?
On June 3, City will play United in the FA Cup final before heading to Istanbul for the Champions League final a week later to play Inter Milan.
In terms of their league campaign, if Arsenal loses to Nottingham Forest on Saturday (May 20), the Citizens might win the Premier League for the fifth time in six years before they next kick a ball.
If Arsenal wins at the City Ground, City will only need to earn a point against Chelsea to retain the Premier League championship in the north-western region. Should Arsenal lose at the City Ground, Chelsea would only need to win at the Etihad Stadium.
