According to rumours, Liverpool of the Premier League wants to add three new players before the month of June is out.
By their standards, the Reds have had a bad season because Jurgen Klopp’s team saved its finest performances for the playoffs.
Fifth-placed Seven wins in their previous eight games haven’t been enough for Liverpool to knock Manchester United or Newcastle United out of the top four, and they’ll have to make do with Europa League action next year when they play already-relegated Southampton on the final day of the season.
And now that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, and Naby Keita are all about to leave Anfield at the end of their contracts, Klopp is preparing to make a number of fresh recruits to strengthen his squad, with midfield being a significant priority.
According to Football Insider, the Liverpool manager is confident that the Reds will “complete three new signings by the end of June,” with his transfer team “prioritising deals for central midfielders, a centre-back, and a right-back, while also considering a backup goalkeeper if Caoimhin Kelleher leaves this summer.”
According to the article, Liverpool are “growing increasingly confident” that they will soon secure a deal for Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister and that “bringing in multiple midfield targets” is their “top priority.”
Liverpool reportedly wants to complete a number of transactions quickly so that “they can join up with the squad for the start of the club’s pre-season tour.”
Real Madrid, the largest club in Spain, is reportedly interested in a £44 million deal to acquire Andy Robertson, who has been linked to a move away from Liverpool.
Since Ferland Mendy has a history of injuries, it is believed that Los Blancos want Robertson to take his place. If offers come in this summer, Real Madrid will consider them.
Frank McAvennie, a former West Ham and Celtic striker, believes Kieran Tierney, a fellow countryman of Robertson, “is better” if Real Madrid is in need of a left-back.
According to McAvennie, “it is good for Scotland and Scottish football.”
“Kieran Tierney was also brought up in conversation. As a defender, I believe Tierney to be superior to Andy.
“I feel like Real Madrid would welcome either of them. Either one would be fantastic with Vinicius Junior.
“With either of them, I could see it working, but Liverpool needs a makeover,”
