According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in an exclusive interview with GIVEMESPORT, Manchester United is aware of how challenging it will be to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The Red Devils are rumoured to be quite interested in the 29-year-old, but Romano claims Spurs chairman Daniel Levy won’t make things simple for them.
Man United transfer news — Harry Kane
Kane is considered by United to be “the perfect player” for the team, Romano previously revealed to GIVEMESPORT.
However, Real Madrid is a rival, and according to the Daily Mirror, the Spanish powerhouse is preparing a £100 million raid for the Englishman.
After learning that Karim Benzema will be departing the team this summer, the La Liga team is in need of a new number nine.
Real Madrid does not play in England, therefore it seems to reason that Tottenham would prefer to trade Kane to them rather than to United.
Fabrizio Romano’s comments regarding Harry Kane and Manchester United.
According to Romano, United are aware that stealing Kane away from Tottenham won’t be an easy assignment.
The Italian journalist explained to GIVEMESPORT that Manchester United is aware of how challenging it will be to get Harry Kane. It will be very difficult for Manchester United to sign Kane because Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would strive to keep the player and will make it very difficult for them to do so.
Which team, Man United or Real Madrid, is Harry Kane more likely to sign with this summer?
Kane is one of the top strikers in the league right now, and the two European heavyweights need a new front.
He scored over 30 goals this season, according to Transfermarkt, but Tottenham didn’t manage to finish in the top seven or pick up any victories, so their impact wasn’t great.
Given that, you wouldn’t blame the England captain for attempting to make a move. It won’t be easy for him to transfer to Old Trafford, even though his contract is about to expire. It seems sense that Levy is hesitant to sell to a direct competitor.
The Santiago Bernabéu is therefore undoubtedly Kane’s more likely summer destination, but you can’t completely rule out the prospect of the Three Lions star staying at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a more season before switching to another English team when his contract expires the following year.
Kane may decide to stay in his own country if he has the potential to surpass Alan Shearer’s record and set a new Premier League scoring record.
