In order to get Declan Rice, Arsenal must act quickly, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to reports, the ‘great’ midfielder is the Gunners’ top transfer target this summer, and things for Arsenal in the pursuit of this deal appear to be going well.
Romano, however, claimed that Arsenal must act swiftly in this situation while speaking on the Here We Go Podcast. According to Romano, other parties, like Manchester United, might join the picture quickly and make things more difficult for Arsenal.
Move swiftly.
Romano expressed his opinion regarding Rice and Arsenal.
“I sincerely hope things moves quickly for the fans of Arsenal. Sometimes, and it’s not about Edu or Arteta, it’s about the owners, significant deals for Arsenal require the owners’ consent. In the past, when teams like Tottenham and Chelsea attempted to enter the Mykhaylo Mudryk and Gabriel Jesus deals late, Arsenal defended itself with the help of Edu and his connections in Brazil.
“Arsenal sometimes reacts slowly to big stars because of the owners. They must act quickly in this situation since timing will be critical. We don’t know what will transpire with Manchester United; perhaps they will have new owners starting next week, and then who knows? There’s a chance they show up in an unexpected place. It is crucial to act quickly in this market environment.
Definitely not another Mudryk
Arsenal is more aware than most teams of the significance of preventing a transfer hijack.
In fact, when Chelsea hijacked the Gunners’ deal to recruit Mykhaylo Mudryk in January, they found themselves on the receiving end of this same scenario, therefore they must avoid it here.
Arsenal must move quickly to eliminate that risk since the only way to ensure that no one else will sign Rice is to complete the deal themselves.
I’m crossing my fingers that Arsenal can finish this up fast.
