Eleven players will leave Liverpool this summer on free transfers, according to a confirmation from Liverpool.
With Alexis Mac Allister’s £35 million transfer from Brighton, Klopp is seeking to revamp his Reds team after they disappointingly ended fifth in the Premier League last season.
However, the Reds are ready to bid farewell to a core group of Klopp’s trusted first team talents, who shone during Liverpool’s illustrious title season and Champions League success in 2019.
A seasoned midfielder with 857 career appearances is one of the players departing on a free transfer.
A Brazilian forward who joined the team from Hoffenheim in 2015 is another star. Since joining, he has won seven titles for the club.
The long-term tenure at Anfield of James Milner, Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, and former Arsenal player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will come to an end this summer.
Milner played 332 times in eight seasons for Liverpool, while Firmino made 362 appearances.
After five seasons of playing after moving from Leipzig, Keita played 129 times, while Oxlade-Chamberlain struggled with injuries and rotation but still managed 146 appearances.
The Academy Award-winning Jack Bearne, Liam Hughes, Charlie Hayes-Green, Oscar Kelly, Fidel O’Rourke, Oludare Olunfunwa, and Iwan Roberts are among the remaining names on the list.
