Finding out which teams elite professional football players supported as children is always interesting.
There are some well-known instances of athletes cheering on teams they didn’t represent while they were at the top of their game. While Harry Kane has frequently been accused of being an Arsenal supporter, Jamie Carragher grew up as an Everton fan.
You can choose to believe the Kane backing Arsenal myth or not, but at least one player has finally come clean about his love for the Gunners.
In fact, Tyler Adams, a player recently connected with Arsenal, revealed on the Lade Out Podcast that he was a huge Arsenal fan growing up and that Thierry Henry was his favorite player.
Adams is a fan of Arsenal.
The midfielder acknowledged that as a youngster, he was a Gunners fan.
Adams remarked, “I didn’t play at the Emirates, but I really wanted to play in that game.
You were an Arsenal fan growing up, right? Adams was questioned.
Yes, I was a tremendous fan of Thierry. Naturally when he arrived in New York as well,” Adams added.
A possible move?
Adams has recently been linked to Arsenal, so we have to assume that he would be receptive to this move if it occurred.
After acquiring Declan Rice, Arsenal obviously doesn’t need to add another midfielder, but with Thomas Partey said to be leaving the Emirates, a spot could open up.
Adams is a player who might become cheaply available following Leeds’ relegation from the Championship, and he actually wouldn’t be a bad option for a team like Arsenal as a depth option.
