According to Duncan Castles of The Daily Record, Al Hilal is considering the Colombian forward as his next target.
Al-Ittihad’s attempts to acquire Fabinho failed, however, as Liverpool is adamant against offloading the winger.
Diaz, 26, paid £37 million to join the team back in January 2022, but it now appears the Saudi Pro League wants to add another famous name to their roster in the form of the dynamic Colombian winger, who has suffered from a number of injuries since joining Liverpool.
Last season, the winger played for Liverpool in the Champions League and the Premier League, where he scored one goal and made one assist.
Diaz joined the team in the winter of 2021–2022, and he nearly immediately had an impact.
eventually appeared destined to transfer to Tottenham, but eventually settled on Liverpool.
Liverpool desires to retain Luis Diaz
The league has been steadily luring more and more talent to the nation ever since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr.
First, there were athletes in their 30s who could have wished to try something new.
N’Golo Kante and Karim Benzema spring to mind as examples.
But recently, players who were meant to be in their prime have switched teams, including former Celtic midfielder Jota and Ruben Neves, both of whom are in their mid-20s and appear to be searching for something new.
Theoretically, Diaz might join Liverpool, but the club doesn’t appear eager to let him go. However, Record, a Portuguese tabloid, reported that Al-Hilal would make an offer of €50 million (£45 million).
Liverpool would make a large profit from that amount, but whether they would approve of a trade without a replacement may put a halt to this transaction.
Understand that Jorge Jesus wants to add Luis Diaz to his rebuild of the Al Hilal squad.
