Mason Greenwood, a Manchester United footballer, was charged with attempted rape and assault in January 2022, however, the allegations were later withdrawn in February 2023.
The accusations were made when a video of his partner with injuries that were allegedly caused by the football player leaked online. The dialogue between Mr. Greenwood and his female partner in the video also hinted at a coercive sexual experience.
Em explained that she was aware of the legal procedure but asserted that “taking a stand should stand above that sort of stuff.”
“I understand that it is accused and that a procedure is being followed, but I think the delays have been extraordinarily contentious; it almost seems like some ownership-related issues have gotten in the way,” the speaker said.
