Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have reportedly received a boost in their quest to sign Marc Cucurella from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Marc Cucurella, a left-back for Chelsea, has been mentioned in connection with Newcastle United.
The Telegraph claimed on August 14 that Newcastle is interested in acquiring Cucurella from Premier League opponent Chelsea.
The Magpies apparently think that the 25-year-old left-back from Spain’s national team “would like to make the move” to St. James’ Park during the summer transfer window, according to the report.
The left-back from Spain, who earns £175,000 a week (Spotrac), is another player Chelsea would love to transfer, according to The Telegraph.

Chelsea’s position on Marc Cucurella, a target for Newcastle United
The past winners of the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League now appear to be open to a loan agreement for Cucurella.
In the final days of the summer transfer market, Chelsea are prepared to loan Cucurella out, according to Fabrizio Romano’s tweets.
According to the Italian journalist, the Blues will only agree to a deal on their conditions.
Romano claimed that Manchester United is in talks with Chelsea about signing the former Brighton and Hove Albion player.
Newcastle will be discouraged by Manchester United’s interest in Cucurella, but they will be heartened by Chelsea’s willingness to consider a loan arrangement.
In order to beat Manchester United to a loan agreement, Newcastle must now initiate discussions with Chelsea.
In the Premier League, Cucurella has so far made 59 appearances.
In those games, the left-back has one goal, three assists, and 12 clean sheets.
