Man City’s right back Jeremy Doku has received a lot of appreciation from Kyle Walker.
The Englishman offered his opinion on the £55 million (CBS Sports) player, who is already a fan favourite, via Manchester Evening News.
Kyle Walker recently praised Jeremy Doku, a recent addition to Manchester City.
Kyle Walker, a Manchester City legend, praises the ‘frightening’ Jeremy Doku.
Rio Ferdinand compared the Belgian international to Raheem Sterling after his second start against West Ham United, during which he scored a fantastic goal and shone out.
The 21-year-old was entertaining to watch even after he replaced Bernardo Silva against Red Star Belgrade, taunting defenders, consistently making the right choices, and being a nuisance in the final threat.
Now that Jeremy Doku has garnered Kyle Walker’s admiration, the full-backs are understandably concerned about his devastating pace.
“I believe you can tell from his recent performances that the pace is terrifying. As defenders, throughout the first five or ten yards, we must attempt to predict what they will do because we are in the dark as to what they will do. And it’s frightening when you have that pace off the starting line’, he remarked.
Kyle Walker, who is Jeremy Doku’s manager, thinks there is still potential for progress in Jeremy Doku. Kyle Walker: “I think he still needs to add more to his game, and I think he will do under this manager with the coaching that he does in the style of play that we play.”
It is a full-back’s worst nightmare to have that starting matches today off the bench, though.
Given how good Jeremy Doku already appears under Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, the sky truly could be his limit if he continues to develop his abilities over time at his new club.
