According to rumors, Chelsea wants Jose Mourinho back for a third time as manager.
Jose Mourinho will return to Stamford Bridge to manage Chelsea for a third time, according to Chelsea.
According to rumors, the current Roma manager is thinking about his future. The first Europa Conference League title was brought to the Stadio Olimpico by The Special One, ending a 15-year trophy drought, during his little more than one and a half years in the Eternal City.
But before devoting any more of his time to the team, Mourinho is waiting to see if I Giallorossi will make the Champions League this year.
The Portuguese legend is said to be considering his future by La Gazzetta dello Sport, while other sources indicate that he is dissatisfied with the amount of support he has received.
However, according to journalist Simon Phillips, who spoke with GiveMeSport, Mourinho would be happy to manage Chelsea once more. Phillips stated, “I was told that Mourinho approached some of the potential Chelsea buyers when the club was first up for sale through Jorge Mendes, obviously, the agent who has good connections with Mourinho and Chelsea.”
The 60-year-old has reportedly expressed a desire to go back to west London, where he owns three titles. Despite the fact that current Blues manager Graham Potter is under contract until 2027, his position is under threat.
Chelsea has invested approximately £600 million under current owner Todd Boehly, therefore Mourinho, who previously led under previous owner Roman Abramovich, would likely not have a problem with an investment.
