Before Thursday’s second leg of their Europa League quarterfinal against Sevilla, Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United’s training sessions.
Rashford, 25, hasn’t played since suffering a groin injury during United’s victory over Everton at home on April 8.
The English striker, who has 31 goals this season, was expected to “miss a few games,” according to United.
At Carrington, Tyrell Malacia, Marcel Sabitzer, and Luke Shaw all received their training.
Rashford was not present for either of United’s victories against Nottingham Forest on Sunday or their 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the first leg at Old Trafford.
Sabitzer, who scored twice against Sevilla, was taken off the pitch at the City Ground after suffering an injury during warm-ups, while Malacia was also unable to travel because of a knee issue.
Shaw, on the other hand, hasn’t appeared since United’s 1-0 victory over Brentford at home on April 5 when he was substituted.
With Lisandro Martinez out for the season and Raphael Varane suffering an injury against Forest, the England defender could offer much-needed insurance at center-back if he is able to play.
Due to a one-match suspension, Bruno Fernandes, a midfielder for Portugal, is also unable to travel to Sevilla.
Manchester United will play Brighton at Wembley in the FA Cup semifinals after their Europa League match on Thursday. On April 27, they will play Tottenham in a crucial Premier League match.
