In response to allegations that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in signing him after he turned down Chelsea, Jose Mourinho has spoken out.
Due to Christophe Galtier’s lack of success, PSG is once again searching for a new manager. Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has reportedly been contacted, according to reports in France.
According to reports, Mourinho’s former club Chelsea failed to make an approach after Graham Potter was fired. The Portuguese manager is reportedly not interested in returning to Stamford Bridge for a third stint.
The summer transfer window has been left open by Mourinho, who still has one year left on his Roma contract.
Mourinho responded when asked about his future, “I don’t talk to friends, comrades, or media.
“If our CEO [Pietro] Berardi claimed he was certain I would stay a few months ago, that is his perspective. I’m not talking to anyone if what Mr. Zazzaroni [a journalist] said this time was an interpretation of him.
“The position is crystal obvious; legally, I still have one year left on my contract. Contracts aren’t always the most crucial factor in football since football is football. The following game is always the most crucial one. Everything is good.
Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini thinks Mourinho has a good chance of remaining in charge.
“Those who have hired Mourinho know perfectly his behavior,” he told Sky Sport. To say he wants to go, though, is challenging.
But for the time being, he is seeing success. Roma has a chance to get to the Europa League final, though obviously, that depends on how the season pans out.
