In the upcoming summer transfer window, Kim Min-Jae is anticipated to leave Napoli, and it appears that he will be moving to Manchester United.
The South Korean will go to Old Trafford after United and the Italian champions agree on a £50 million transfer fee, according to a report we covered yesterday (via Corriere dello Sport).
To the joy of the Red Devils fans, a reputable media outlet has today reported another story (see press image below).
According to CdS, Kim is waiting for the transfer “window” to open before “flying” to Manchester United in a deal worth 58 million euros, or £50 million.
A successor will reportedly be purchased with the proceeds from the sale of the 26-year-old centre half. The defending Serie A champions are interested in acquiring Scalvini from Atalanta.
In his contract with Napoli, Min-Jae includes a release clause that is effective from July 1 to July 15. The international transfer window will open on that date.
According to rumours, Erik ten Hag’s defence should be strengthened for the upcoming season by the former Fenerbahce centre defender.
David De Gea, the custodian for Manchester United, earned the Golden Glove this year, but he will need more talent and depth in the defence to help him at the back next year.
With twenty clean sheets in all competitions, Kim has undoubtedly been the best defender in the Italian league this season.
