Jadon Sancho‘s best position, according to Erik ten Hag, is on the offensive line.
The football team from Manchester United has qualified for the Champions League. At the beginning of the season, it was always the goal. The management deserves praise for securing that top-four result.
This team will gradually be changed to better suit his playing style. The futures of some players in the locker room are up in the air. Jadon Sancho is one of them.
Since arriving to Manchester, the winger has had difficulty maintaining any consistency. Although we have seen hints of his brilliance, it’s fair to say that we haven’t seen him in his greatest shape.
Ten Hag has now clarified Sancho’s preferred position, which is on the left, while talking to the media about his development over the course of the season.
Check out what Ten Hag has to say about Jadon Sancho’s ideal position:
According to ManUtd.com, when asked which wing was best for Sancho, Ten Hag answered, “He can play both [wings], but I think he prefers to play on the left.”
But we’ve seen that he’s also quite effective on the right.
For what it’s worth, I think Sancho can do equally well in both wide positions. He can walk in any direction and under any circumstance because he is two-footed. He can also participate in the ten.
Giving Sancho a true chance to play on the right side of the squad would still be advantageous in my opinion. When healthy, Marcus Rashford controls the left wing, but Antony will now be out for a few months. Sancho has two games to demonstrate that he can seize control of that right side.
It’s a perilous circumstance. Sancho hasn’t really demonstrated enough to be a regular starter for a team that wants to win the title, but he is capable of doing so. Maybe all he needs is a string of successful games before we start to see him regain his Borussia Dortmund form.
